The media is picking up the story of the Allen Morris Park scandal!

The media is starting to take notice of the scandal with our tiny park - two articles were published this week (the second one unfortunately is behind a paywall):

https://hoodline.com/2026/07/tiny-brickell-park-could-trade-trees-for-tables-in-allen-morris-plan/

https://www.bizjournals.com/southflorida/news/2026/07/16/developer-plans-restaurant-on-former-brickell-park.html

This is great to see this issue getting more visibility and traction so the community begins to have more transparency to the future of our tiny park.

Additionally, one of the articles gave visibility to which company is partnering on the “restaurant” concept: Royal Byckovas Architecture and Design “R&B” https://www.royalbyckovas.com/work/brickell-park-restaurant

And before anyone gets excited about the nice looking picture of the restaurant by this company, please remember we learned the true intent of the restaurant is to become a sales gallery for “phase 2,” a supertall tower “Brickell Residences” according to the PDF the developer accidentally sent us. I wonder if this “K&B” company knows their beautiful restaurant concept will be transformed into a sales center for a “Brickell Park Residences” supertall tower that will eventually fully destroy the trees and park…

You can contact R&B to see what they know about their designs being used for a restaurant they will basically fund the operating costs for a developer determined to destroy one of our last green spaces in Brickell and also for a sales center to sell a supertall tower that will destroy park:
