It just goes to show what a change in council can do! We heartily applaud our new Springwater Council for taking the initiative to write to Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Ted McMeekin, requesting a meeting to discuss its concerns with the Midhurst Secondary Plan. We will be watching closely to see what the province's response will be. We are hopeful that the province recognizes that the leadership in this township has changed and is seeking ways to work together with the province to protect farmland, water sources and uphold the province's growth policies.
