Why this petition matters

Started by John Mclellan

We are writing on behalf of all Australian wildlife. Too many times have we, the Australian public, seen animal cruelty on the social media over the past decade. As citizens of Australia we have human rights to live undisturbed from cruelty, torture and adherent behaviour causing our rights taken away. It's time to stop unjust, cruel and absolutely disgusting animal cruelty.  Wild Animals have the right to live undisturbed and cruelty free.

Recently on 10 channel news broadcast over social media, a young South Australian Police Officer was filmed slowly stoning a wombat to death. This man was shown bragging, creeping up behind the wombat, picking up large stones and torturing the wombat. This man representing South Australia shows disregard for life, animals and the reputation of South Australian Government Police force.

We believe this man should lose his title and position in SAPOL, and charged with criminal act and animal cruelty. This wombat died for his enjoyment. Enough is enough ! When will people in public service positions be responsible and accountable for their actions?
