The Melbourne Cup is a day in the year where adults get to dress up in fancy-forms wear whilst some may parade around with their betting tickets in hand. It is the only day in the year where Australians glorify animal abuse and horses are forced to race against each other, becoming mere toys for people to throw their money at.

The typical racehorse is kept in isolation for 23 hours a day, and as a result many horses lose their lives or are severely injured due to the severe training that they must endure, all just to prepare for this $447.6 million dollar event. 

However, this petition is focused on stopping this tragedy and aims to put a stop to the Melbourne Cup once and for all!
