My daughter Ashley is a 19 yr old with visual and physical disabilities and is an approved applicant of a tss card ( taxi subsidy scheme ) . Taxis are her only form of safe transport for her to be able to get around independently to study , socialise with friends and to get about town with but lately she has been having more and more issues of taxi drivers refusing to use the tss cards claiming her card is faulty and not able to be used , the card is valid and in date until 2018. All taxis are meant to be equiped with a manual card processor just in case there are issues with the machines to be able to process the trip at the approved tss rate and being the holder of this card my daughter is not required to pay the whole fare but is being intimated and bullied by the drivers to pay the whole fare even though she legally doesn't have to being the holder of the tss card , the local taxi company is refusing to follow QLD transport laws regarding the use of the cards and not supplying all local drivers with manual card processors and the actual facts on the tss laws .  All we ask is that before being allowed to drive for taxi company's all drivers are informed of tss card use , given the proper equipment in all cars to use the cards wether it be manually or by computer and for the bullying and intimidation to force her and other users of the card to pay full fare to stop .
