Heyfield depends on ASH timber mill to provide employment for 250 people and their families. If the contract is not renewed, not only those immediate families, but all businesses will be affected adversely. This historic town will be affected in economic and human terms. First the dairying, and now the timber. There could now be at least 250 more people on a pension. Employment is finite around here. Please renegotiate!
