CAYMAN, ALL HANDS ON DECK ARE REQUIRED RIGHT NOW!

PLEASE HELP TODAY!

Thank you for previously supporting and signing the related petitions to:

1) keep the marriage definition to remain between one man and one woman, and

2) vote NO to the proposed Domestic Partnership Bill (2020).

On 29th July 2020, our political leaders listened to you and also voted NO.

However, we are currently in the midst of a 21-day consultation period after which Governor Roper stated he intends to enact this into law next month.

BUT IT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN WITHOUT A LEGAL FIGHT!  THIS IS GOING TO COURT!

Here’s a message from the Christian Association, then enjoy this timely musical selection titled “GOD IS STANDING BY” (we don’t own the rights to this music):

“The Governor of the Cayman Islands has decreed that he will impose the Domestic Partnership Bill 2020 using powers he claims exist in our Constitution. Any action of this magnitude warrants independent legal advice on behalf of the people of the Cayman Islands so that we, the people, and the Opposition are able to explore what options are available to us constitutionally.

As you can imagine, such legal advice is costly so we are reaching out to members of the community to contribute towards this expense for our overall benefit. Every dollar you donate reduces the bill so please contribute as little or as much as you can afford to. The Christian Association will contribute up to $3,000.00 to meet any outstanding costs.

We encourage all persons who are mindful of the principles of democracy, Christian and non-Christian alike, to contribute to this fund online via the account details provided below; persons in Bodden Town may make donations by cash/cheque (receipts available on request) to "Church of God Chapel Bodden Town" (916-0776); further donation sites in other districts to be identified later this week.   All donations will be accounted for.

We thank you for your contribution, support on this matter and for standing for democracy!

Please reference your donation as "DPB LEGAL FUND".
