Please stop the CRUEL...TORTURE and ABUSE of Captive Elephants and Elephants used in the Tourism Industry and Begging Elephants in the streets of India and Thailand !! All baby elephants and young elephants are "broken" trained in the same way.  They are torn from their mothers, caged or tied to a tree, BEATEN with sticks that have NAILS in them, STARVED of Food and Water, for days on end till the poor Elephant's Spirit is BROKEN.  The abuse continues for their whole lives, remember that elephants live over 50 years.  See on YouTube, Raju the elephant, his rescue by Wildlife SOS, he cried while being rescued from his abuser. Some even go blind from the constant hits to their heads. Elephants and other animals in India and Thailand have little or NO RIGHTS.
