Sub: Seeking attention for laying proper road for the wellbeing of Tax Payers.

Some facts: 

There are 2500+ families dwelling in the below communities at Perumbakkam, Chennai.

RC Blossoms,Plaza Verdant Acres Phase I & II,  KG Good Fortune, Malles Aashira Phase I, Casa Grande Vogue, Color homes Elite Enclave,Sugam Foundations and Bollineni Hillside Apartments.

There are few close to completions projects that are slowly filling which are expected to occupy close to 3000+ families. Few listed below, 

UrbanTree Oxygen, Radiance Mercury, Malles Aashira Phase II, ColorHomes Castle, ColorHomes Avenue and Sristi Green Woods.

With this information we can arrive a rough figure of 5500+ families in the coming Quarter/ Half year of 2017. We know already that, there are only two bus deployed through this road - M51C (T.Nagar - Arasankazhani)  and XC21 (Broadway- Ottiambakkam) which make 3 to 4 trips max a day. Only few hundreds may use this service. Say rest of the 5000+ odd families is expected to commute through own transport like motor bikes, scooters and cars. Besides this, the construction companies make countless trips using their heavy vehicles. As this Nookapalayam road server as main connectivity  for Medavakkam - Perumbakkam - Semmencherry - Navalur- OMR hundreds of IT employees commute to avoid Traffic and U turns at Sholinganallur.

So approximately 7200+ vehicles (estimation at minimum, work out the numbers if you doubt ) may use this road on a daily basis TWICE a DAY which is 14000+ trips !!  

Problem:

This small distance of 2KM route has NO ROADS literally! These roads have been laid with poor quality materials and it has not survived the slightest of rains!! It takes nearly 15-20 minutes to cross this portion. Also we have a weak pass (bridge) over a channel that flow across, which is expected to fall sooner and cost few lives if neglected!  With information available in Chennai Corporation official portal it has been planned to construct a road for this route last year but it has not happened so far.

Complications:

There are no proper street lights on this stretch and it makes us totally blind to look for potholes and Mud puddles!  It is very difficult to reach back home after a hectic day's work. I'm sure you can imagine how insecure it is for women, school children, senior citizens to use this road to reach their homes daily. 

This Road has helped the entire community to gain unwanted health issues over a period of time.

Few of us have already notified the respective Panchayat repetitively and they seems to be deaf.We strongly regret the negligence of the respective departments for making Tax Payers life miserable daily and put everyone's life in jeopardy!

  Additional fact: Road opposite to Water company connecting UrbanTree Oxygen, CG Vogue, Plaza Verdant Acres to this Nookapalayam road was laid 4 years back and it's still in pristine condition after the big floods. This is because it was privately laid by the builder.
