What if the proposed hotel on Callawassie Drive, across from Chechesse Creek, fails?

Is there a need for a hotel on Callawassie Drive? Please ask your neighbors if there is a need.

The property pictured is zoned T2R so there are very few uses available, what is allowed, based on the Beaufort County Website, is:

• A Drug/Alcohol Rehab Home Post
• Correctional Facility Substance Abuse Treatment Facility
• Residential facility for Mentally Handicap  
• Seasonal Farmworker Housing
• Residential facility for Disabled Vets

Does Heyward Point, Chechessee Creek, Callawassie, Spring Island and Chechessee Bluff really want this in their back yard? Please do not support the Commercial Development on Callawassie Drive. Keep Chechessee Rural...traffic free and quiet:)

Please note:

• Stunning 34 room Main Street Inn served 10,000 HHP residents, 4 public course - it failed and is now a Drug/Alcohol Rehab Center.
• 63 Room Fairfield Marriot located at 170/278, arguably the busiest intersection in all Beaufort County, failed and now houses workers for Palmetto Bluff. Take a drive to the former Fairfield, now the Okatie Hotel, it is a disaster (my opinion). Is this our future on Callawassie Dr.?
• The May River Manor used to be a domestic abuse home for women
