The Issue

We are students of the Kirloskar Institute of Management, currently pursuing our summer internships as part of the PGDM program. Our internships began on April 15th, and many of us are scheduled to complete them in the first week of July. For most of us, these internships are not just academic requirements they are crucial opportunities for learning, growing, and stepping into the real world. However, the current exam schedule expects students to return to campus before internships are over, which is proving to be extremely difficult and stressful.

Imagine having to leave a full-time internship in a different city sometimes hundreds of kilometers away only to rush back to campus, adjust to a new hostel room, and immediately sit for an exam. For many of us, this means choosing between our professional commitments and our academic responsibilities. There’s no time to mentally or physically settle in. This isn’t just logistically challenging it’s emotionally exhausting and academically unfair.

We’re simply asking for a little understanding and support. Postponing the exams to July 7th or later just a few days can make a world of difference. It will give students the time they need to complete their internships with dignity, return safely to campus, and prepare for exams in a calm, focused environment. We’re not asking for an easy way out just a fair chance to do our best, both in our internships and our exams.

This is the time to act. With compassion and cooperation, we can make sure every student gets the chance to succeed. Please support us by signing this petition and standing up for a more balanced, student-friendly approach.
