Following further exchanges I have had with Post Office HQ, the application to re-open the Cowley Rd branch is progressing well. In addition, (if I am re-elected today!) I have set up further meetings to discuss how to better promote locally the adverts to run a post office and have offered to support the PO in looking at further sites and well as ensuring such sudden closures do not happen without warning again. I am still trying to convince the PO to provide an interim mobile post office.
