Keele Post Office is based in the Students' Union Building on Keele University campus.  It is used by a very diverse community of local residents, students and University employees.

As part of their 'network transformation process', Post Office Ltd has imposed a ‘local’ status on Keele Post Office meaning a significant loss of the services currently offered.  Two formal appeal have been launched and rejected by Post Office Ltd.

The reduced level of services within the re-categorised status means that the Post Office will no longer be viable to run and the Post Office will therefore close at some point in the future. The exact date of the closure is to be determined by Post Office Ltd.

As residents, students and users of the Post Office, we believe that the closure of this Post Office will be a significant loss to the local community and call upon Post Office Ltd to reconsider their re-categorisation of Keele Post office and ensure that our village and University continues to have access to a reliable Post Office.
