Dear friends As a result of the many enquiries that we have received from the Expat community, visitors to the region and many non-Portuguese speaking Luso-descendants, I’m sorry to inform all our non-Portuguese speaking friends, that ASMAA has just been informed that under no circumstances will presentations be held in English on Wednesday the 16 December at the information session to be held in Vila do Bispo at the Bombeiros starting at 20h30pm. This decision was communicated to us by the organisers of the event and confirmed today. According to the organisers, Expats or Luso-Descendants that can understand Portuguese are still welcome. As a result of the decision taken by the organisers of the event to not “authorise” any English during this event, ASMAA is nonetheless willing to organise an event to be held in English so as to address the various concerns of Expat communities across the Algarve regarding the upcoming threat of oil and gas exploration including fracking to the region. We are fully cognizant of the fact that many of you are not only residents, but also investors in the Algarve, and naturally are concerned about this serious threat. We also know that you all love the Algarve as much as we do, and would like to see its natural beauty preserved.
