Beep beep, who got the keys to putting up this statue? It's us! - The past few days have been very busy but very productive! Many many more media outlets have been publishing stories about our efforts to erect this statue in honor of Missy. The local ABC affiliate in Missy's hometown 13NewsNow did an interview with me this evening which aired on the 11 o'clock news (link below). I am now trying to move forward into the planning stages of getting a design in place, obtaining cost estimates, and reaching out to potential benefactors to assist in funding this project. I am hoping other members of the Virginia music community that have worked closely with Missy such as Pharrell or Timbaland might be interested in contributing financially or assisting with fundraising. Prior to presentation before City Council I believe it is important to have a solid plan in place. If we want to be taken seriously, we must present seriously!
