Jackson Middle School, formerly known as Andrew Jackson High School, is located at 10625 SW 35th Ave., Portland, OR 97219.

It is named after Andrew Jackson, our country's 7th president. These days, Jackson is best known for stealing Native Americans' land, leading to thousands of deaths. In addition, he is also known for owning over 200 slaves, and being incredibly racist overall.

There is NO reason why a Portland public school should be named after such a terrible person!
