RE: Portland City Council Vote Item #271 –
To authorize $745 million in bonds to finance the filtration project
When is the Vote: Wednesday, April 15, 2020
Local Concerned Citizens,
An important agenda item is coming in front of the Portland City Council. They will be voting to approve $745 million in bonds to finance the PWB water filtration plant. We have made inroads within the council as we express our concerns. Keep up the good fight!
How you can help:
Write your councilpersons (before Wednesday!) and let them know that you oppose this agenda, as it remains extremely irresponsible, especially in these trying times.
We’ve put together an email example with info stating some key points. If you agree with the content, feel free to use and to send it to your councilpersons. OR, use the contents as food for thought in writing your own.
Thank you,
Bull Run Water Guardians
