Mayor Ted Wheeler is presenting to the council this week (April 8) a request to issue $745 MILLION dollars in bonds to finance "capital improvements". It is our understanding that this is (at least in part) for filtration.

In the midst of a pandemic, hundreds of thousands of people out of work, businesses shuttered, with no clue of when this may end, how can our mayor be so irresponsible?

With Nick Fishs' seat vacant, it feels suspect that Mayor Wheeler is pushing through this vote. We would ask that the council refrain from voting until ALL seats are filled.
