We're at 1,000, thank you. Next Steps..

Last weekend, we passed the 1,000 mark for petition signers. Thank you for your support! We will, of course, appreciate more signatures as we move forward. In addition, two Portland neighborhood association boards (Northwest Heights and Forest Park) have voted to endorse the petition. We expect support from additional associations soon. Next steps: We will be sending the petition, along with your comments, to Portland City Council and Multnomah County Commissioners shortly, and requesting preliminary meetings. It is our hope and intention that this will begin the process of a longer term constructive dialog about solutions for congestion in our area. We will keep you posted on progress. After those initial meetings, we will approach Metro and Washington County for similar meetings, but we feel it's important to begin with the city and county.
