Opposition to the Proposed "T" sign in Tradition

Opposition to the Proposed "T" sign in Tradition
Why this petition matters
Please join me in asking for the City's help to change the proposed "T" sign to be built at Village Parkway and Tradition Parkway. In its current design, it does not fit in with the aesthetic of Tradition.
The city of Port St Lucie, on its website, calls Tradition a "pedestrian friendly community with a small town feel". Like many of the residents here, we were attracted to the home-town feel, front porch lifestyle and "Main St. USA aesthetic". We were attracted to the cobble stone streets, the Town Square with its Town Hall Steeple, and the neighborhood feeling we get when we are here.
We are asking the City Council to strongly consider requesting Mattamy Homes and The Tradition Commercial Association to redesign their proposed "T" sign to better fit with the aesthetic of the community, playing off the Iconic Tradition Towers and the Small Town feeling we all would like to keep in our community. While it may be necessary to bring Tradition more current, it can be done in a way that keeps the original aesthetic that has attracted so many to this great community. This sign can not only provide information and direction, it can also give people the feeling they want to stay a while.
