We have entered an ecological crisis and the destruction of the rainforest cannot continue if we are to survive as a species. Slash and burn farming, ranching, poaching, and commericial activities plague the most pristine forest on earth. Every year roughly 50,000 square miles of rainforest are destroyed, equivalent to the size of Pennsylvania. 

Using the power and influence of one of the most heavily trafficked sites on the internet, I think we the community can make difference on the matter.

By creating a promotion to either donate a portion of ad revenue to existing NGO’s or promising to plant a tree for every video watched, nearly every person on the planet had the ability to make a change even if they did not intend to.
