The porn industry needs to be held accountable for the distribution and commercialisation of non-consensual ‘pornography’.

The most famous porn sites have no real moderation process, and it’s very difficult to get abusive content deleted when it ends up on their sites. 

These videos could have been sent to a partner or a friend who later betrayed their trust, or accessed by phone or social media platforms hackers. This is happening to women across Egypt and the globe, who are finding themselves on popular porn websites, having their videos downloaded, viewed and shared thousands of times.

Although sharing and distributing private videos and photos on the internet is illegal in Egypt, the women in the videos are stigmatized, shamed and blamed. Moreover, these women are usually convicted on legal charges such as "inciting debauchery and immorality” and “violating the values and principles of the Egyptian family”. A number of social media female influencers were fined and sentenced to two years in prison for these charges because their photos and videos were leaked on porn sites.

This is an appeal written by a number of Egyptian and Arab women to put pressure on porn companies to:

1) Develop a clear and reliable system to verify and monitor the videos which are uploaded to their sites. (Especially if the videos are uploaded from Middle Eastern countries)

2) Develop a strict system for new and current accounts verification and uploads.

3) Develop strict guidelines for age-verification system for the subject(s) in the videos. 

4) Work quickly on removing any video automatically when the subject(s) of a video has asked for the video to be removed. (Especially when the subjects are from Middle Eastern countries)

5) Develop a filter system in place to keep videos from being re-uploaded after they have been pulled from the site.

6) Prohibit using and marketing “leaked sex tape” and other genres in different languages within porn websites.

7) Require a consent form signed by all parties in the video before uploading it. The consent form should include the subject(s) approval to upload the video to this porn site.

Revenge porn is not porn. It is a form of sexual abuse and a a kind of gendered hate speech designed to silence women.

يجب أن يتحمل القائمين على صناعة المقاطع المصورة الجنسية مسؤولية توزيع وترويج المقاطع المصورة الجنسية غير الرضائية. 

لا يوجد لدى أشهر منصات التي تنشر مقاطع مصورة جنسية أي طرق للتحكم ومراقبة المحتوى وعملية التبليغ عن أي محتوى استغلالي من أجل مسحه من على تلك المنصات صعبة جداً.

غالباً ما يكون تم ارسال هذه المقاطع المصورة الى شريك أو صديق قام بخيانة ثقة الشريكة أو الصديقة أو تم قرصنة أجهزة المحمول أو حسابات مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي. هذا يحدث للنساء في مصر وحول العالم حيث يجد هؤلاء النساء مقاطعهم المصورة على تلك الموقع ويتم رؤيتها ومشاركتها آلاف المرات. 

على الرغم من أن تداول ومشاركة الصور والمقاطع المصورة الخاصة على الانترنت غير قانوني في مصر، إلا أن النساء الاتي يظهرن في تلك المقاطع المصورة يتم وصمهم ونبذهم. 

بالإضافة إلى ذلك، غالباً ماتواجه تلك النساء اتهامات قانونية مثل التحريض على الفسق والفجور والتعدي على قيم ومبادئ الأسرة المصرية. وقد تمت محاكمة عدد من المؤثرات على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بتلك التهم بسبب تسريب مقاطعهم المصورة وصورهم على مواقع المقاطع المصورة الجنسية وصدرت أحكام بالسجن سنتين مع الغرامة.

هذه هي دعوة ونداء من عدة نساء مصريات وعربيات من أجل مطالبة الشركات المنتجة للمقاطع المصورة والمحتوى الجنسي ب:

1- عمل نظام واضح ومهني من أجل التأكد من ومراقبة المقاطع المصورة التي يتم رفعها على المواقع - وخصوصاً لو المقاطع يتم رفعها من دول الشرق الأوسط.

2- عمل نظام صارم للتأكد من تسجيل الحسابات القديمة والجديدة و المقاطع المرفوعة.

3- عمل نظام صارم للتأكد من سن من هم في المقاطع المصورة.

4- العمل سريعاً على محو أي محتوى تلقائياً مجرد ما تقوم إحدى المتواجدات فيه بالابلاغ عنه- وخصوصاً لو كانت المبلغات من دول الشرق الأوسط.

5- عمل نظام للتنقيح للتأكد من عدم رفع المقاطع مرة أخرى بعد إزالتها من الموقع.

6-  منع استخدام و ترويج أي وسم أو تصنيف تحت اسم "تسريبات" أو أي تصنيفات أخرى مماثلة بأي لغة على تلك المواقع

7- المطالبة باتفاقية موقعة من كل الأطراف في المقطع المصور قبل رفعه علي الموقع. يجب أن تتضمن تلك الاتفاقية موافقة جميع الأطراف على رفع المقطع المصور على هذا الموقع.
