Your Holiness,

The effect of your July 16, 2021 Motu Propio (Traditionis Custodes) has been a cancellation of the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) in parishes and dioceses around the world. Surely, this is not the effect the Holy Father intended. 

Given this outcome, we wonder how the TLM community can make amends. For any sins of "division" or "rigidity" that the TLM community is being punished, we ask for mercy and forgiveness. Even the prodigal son received mercy from his Father who ran to meet him at the first sighting of his arrival.

We welcome dialogue for how to grow in unity and ecclesial communion with the many rites of the Roman Catholic Church. Furthermore, we trust that the successor of Peter wills that the Tridentine Mass, the Mass of our ancestors, continues to flourish in dioceses and parishes around the world.

Or does the cancel culture which has infested society now infect the thinking of the Holy Father? 

Surely, His Holiness agrees with his Venerable Predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, who concluded that, "Something that was previously the most sacred thing in the Church to people should not suddenly be completely forbidden."

Surely, the Pope of Mercy who has accompanied those on the peripheries of society will not now abandon those on the periphery in the Church.

Surely, the treasures of the Church are not being sequestered from the faithful thus leaving us hungry and thirsty in this time of turmoil and confusion in the world. 

Thanking you in advance for your generosity in once again opening the treasury of the Tridentine Mass to all God's children. 

Your Holiness, please un-cancel the Traditional Latin Mass worldwide.
