Raye has been signed to a 4-album contract with Polydor Records in 2014 but is yet allowed to release her debut album after 7 years of releasing singles hoping they have the numbers Polydor is asking for. 

Raye said she’s done everything Polydor asked for, changing genre and working non-stop, with music laying around waiting for her debut album. She’s being told “Call on Me” has to become a top 10 hit before she can get a budget for her album, when she’s had multiple top 10 hits before, with 22mil monthly listeners on Spotify and being the 138th artist in the world.
