Across the country, rising insulin prices are putting diabetics’ lives at risk. With costs rising to over $1,000 a month for many patients, making ends meet and paying for insulin seems nearly impossible— leading many to risk their lives by rationing their insulin. Illinois is one of many states with this issue, which inspired Suzanne to start a petition asking Illinois state legislators to follow in Colorado’s footsteps by implementing a price cap on insulin.
