Elizabeth is 5 years old and currently in ICU since December 28, 2020 after being flown to the hospital unconscious but breathing. She was in a horrific truck accident. Her mother was driving while intoxicated with her and her 10 year old sister, Maddison, (while the other two siblings were home alone 14 & 7) in the front seat with no seat belt for either of the girls. Maddison remembers everything.

Mom was traveling down a single land dirt road driving 75 mph ran off of the right side of the road, jerked the truck back to the left side of the road, hit an oak tree, took down a small pine tree, while the truck flipped multiple times. Maddison asked her mom to slow down. Mom exchanged some words with Maddison. Maddison then told Lizzy to hold on and tried to hold on to her. Maddison held on to the ole crap handle and tried to hold on to Lizzy but Lizzy told her not too. Maddison witnessed her sister thrown from the vehicle.

We were given 2 medical options for Lizzy's life. Option 1 Vegetative state Option 2 Remove the ventilator to let her pass on her own. Now mom gets to give her opinion in if Lizzy lives or dies because she has rights. This is like an abuser/murderer trying to kill you and you escape them with life threatening injuries only to find out that they have legal rights to voice their opinion if you live or die.

This is in humane. The victim has no voice in this matter. The people who love her are fighting for her. She can't speak for herself. But put yourself in this position. Would you want your abuser/murderer/attacker to have the right to voice if you live or die because they have legal rights? No, this is WRONG! This is against the victim. This is a contradiction. The victim looses if the abuser/murderer/attacker gets to vote how they live or die. Tell me what would you want?

I start this petition for Lizzy. I fight for Lizzy and everyone in Lizzy's position that they have experienced harm to them and their abuser/murderer/attacker has legal rights in this case Lizzy's biological mother has rights and in the state of SC it is a mother state. I hereby petition these rights be striped immediately upon the harm of the child/victim(s) so they have a fighting chance. We need to be a voice to fight for the victim. It is not enough that this child/victim has experienced the horrific abuse/trauma/life threatening injuries by this person and to know that they still have rights over you and you would have to be in their care. That is unsafe and unacceptable. We need to stand up for the victims. Victims need a voice. Victims need someone to fight for them when they can't fight. We need to protect the victims because they are already in a very unsafe and unhealthy environment with these parents/abusers/murderers/attackers. These kids need safety and they need a loving home. I will be that voice for Lizzy. Lizzy's brother, Jason Jr. said we should name it the Lizzy Love Law. Because we love her and love is supposed to protect her. We need a law to protect innocent victims and strip the rights from the parents that harm their child immediately without question and provide that child with a safe loved one or an organization for them to be safe and protected.

I will be willing to start such an organization to open up to children and keep them safe if they have no other living relative that will keep them safe. This is vital for a victim. No child should ever feel unsafe or a victim in the home that they are to call home!!!! Children can't choose their parents but we can choose to give them a good life and provide for them by keeping them safe.
