Suspending the three lock will create many problems for pensioners receiving the State Pension.

It’s only fair that the ‘state pension’ keeps in line with inflation and the cost of living.

The price of food goes up, the price of gas, electric, water and other utilities continue to rise, and the general cost of living is a major worry.

The “three lock system” made sure that the State Pension was either kept up-to-date with Earnings or kept up-to-date with Inflation. 

Many pensioners can only afford to eat one meal a day and have few necessities in their home , after working all their life and paying into the UK pension  scheme.

Promises were made by the Conservative Party in their manifesto, and now these promises have been broken.

Many pensioners voted for the Conservative Party on the promise that they would look after Pensioners and the State Pension.

Utility bills are already set to rise this winter, and not keeping the State Pension in line with inflation will force many pensioners NOT TO EAT and also not able to turn the heating on to warm the house.

The UK Government need to look after Pensioners and provide for them in their hour of need. They have worked hard and paid into the N.I. system and deserve better from our Great Britain Government.
