Once again wow ! 500 signatures and counting. The support and positive comments are very welcome at this stressful time.

You may have read the update, whereon despite offering minimal support to save the cafe, the local council have refused permission to change the use to residential.

Why ? They would prefer a cafe to stay there !!!.

Conversion to residential should have allowed us to access a mortgage. The council very clearly knew that this was OUR ONLY option.

It's funny that there is so much strife in the world right now, because authority doesn't want to show compassion nor compromise, and even sadder  that similar behaviour occurs right on our own high street and in our public offices.

On a positive note the petition has raised conversations from various sources with suggestions which may help, so we will look into these.
