Last twelve months: 1990 offences

Last six months: 936 offences

Last three months: 504 offences

Current residents living in the area (recent census):

Sunnybank: 54,785

Sunnybank Hills: 18.085

Total:  72,780

This means out of every 50 residents living in this area, one has been a victim of crime in the last twelve months. And that’s just the reported crime, we know that these numbers are likely greater as many in the community may not report crimes.

Acacia Ridge, Calamvale, and Upper Mt Gravatt already have enough levels of crime - how can they possibly have the resources to effectively manage crime and keep Sunnybank and Sunnybank Hills residents safe? The simple answer is they can’t and that’s why we need our own police station - possibly one in Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown or at Pinelands Plaza.
