Justice after Dangerous dog attacks AGAIN killing beloved family pet in unprovoked attack.
Why this petition matters
Justice for beloved family jack russell after being mauled to death by dangerous dog infront of young teenager.
My son (13) was taking one of our jack russells out a walk round the estate in Calendar Rise Redding on Tuesday morning 29th December 2020 when he was heading home the terrifying attack happened.
He was walking by a childrens play park where a Rottweiler jumped over the back garden fence that backs directly onto this play park where the stray dog ran aggressively towards my son and dog. My terrified son thought the dog was going to attack him however the Rottweiler attacked and mauled our beloved dog right infront of him.
Our dog was taken to the vets for them to assess his injuries however his injuries were so severe externally and internally there was nothing they could do for him and he died as a result of his injuries from the attack.
Our son is so traumatised he no longer walks our other dog as he is terrified the dog could attack again.
The incident was reported to the police and they took statements that evening, and the police advised the case would go to the procurator fiscal. However this is no longer the case.
The owner of the Rottweiler insisted that the dog had never done anything like that before however after warning families and dog owners on the estate of our incident i was horrified to learn that is not the case with the the Rottweiler. The Rottweiler has infact previously: BIT A CHILD (incident reported) BIT A DELIVERY PERSON WHO REQUIRED 30 STITCHES (incident reported and taken to court end of 2019) and now MAULED AND KILLED OUR FAMILY PET!
This is clearly a dangerous and out of control dog and action needs to be taken before it attacks again! I am devastated we lost our dog in such a way and dont want anyone else to go through what we have or god forbid worse!
The police need to take this serisouly and keep everyone, their children and their dogs safe.
Please sign this petition if you agree this is not acceptable and more needs to be done.
