Dre Hollingsworth (aka: Burgundre)

Experience police violence March 8th.

 

Her story is getting little recognition and her daughter is still traumatized at what happened.

 

Allegedly:

Dre was arriving to a friend resident to get back the money her friend owes. Her friend communicated with Dre about coming.

  Soon to be realize it was a set up.

 

The police officer first words was threatening. As soon as he saw Dre, all he saw was a criminal.

 

And she can not hear. So she had a hard time trying to understand the commands he was saying. (Not to mention he cuff her and was wearing a mask. So she can’t read his lips nor give hand gestures.

No interpreter was called.

 

All what happened is the officer yelling at both of them for not understand what he was saying.

 

Fire the officer

Arrest him

Train them on how to deal with those with disability.

And educate this officer on ways to do his job.

 

We ask for a public statement about what happened. And updates.
