On the 31st of October my father Lee Bowman went missing, to sadly be found deceased one street away 64 days later. During the ‘search’ for my dad by the police in the time he was missing the missing persons case was closed 3 times due to ‘possible sightings’ by the public. This then meant we were unable to see my dad to say our final goodbyes as he had been left for quite some time. I would hate for another family to have to endure what we did in the weeks of my dads disappearance. I am hoping to change the way missing persons cases are handled to hopefully change the outcome for other people who have loved ones go missing. Throughout the duration of my father being missing we as a family knew something terrible had happened but due to numerous members of the public suspecting that they had sighted him our concerns weren’t acknowledged.
