Polar Bears And Other Wildlife Need You Now

URGENT / EMERGENCY / TIME-SENSITIVE

*NOTE: signing this petition is a good start, but please also call your legislators to have your voice heard on this urgent issue.

Powerful anti-conservation lobbyists are pressuring our federal legislators RIGHT NOW to pass a package bill that would have extreme consequences for polar bears, wildlife, and all Americans who love the great outdoors. Please contact your U.S. Senators TODAY and ask for current protections to be upheld for wildlife and people by voting NO on H.R.4089.

The so-called "Sportsmen’s Heritage Act of 2012" is a highly controversial bill that combines several radical proposals into one package. This legislation seeks to:
a) indulge a small group of wealthy trophy hunters who want to import dead polar bear trophies from Canada in defiance of current law;
b) mandate that federal agencies open nearly all federal public lands to hunting without regard to the impact on wildlife and other resources; and
c) strip the Environmental Protection Agency of its ability to protect habitat and people from lead poisoning through toxic ammunition exposure.

TAKE ACTION NOW - PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS TO YOUR U.S . SENATORS ARE PIVOTAL IN THESE FINAL DAYS OF DELIBERATION - don't just sign, make the call!
