Ban All Poisoning Of Raptors In Canada

     Canada has faced illegal wildlife raptor poisoning. Twenty years ago, there was introduced a legislation to make it an offense to possess certain banned pesticides. The substances listed were those known to be used to illegally target and kill birds of prey. This legislation has led to the successful prosecution of dozens of individuals who were found to be in possession of the named banned substances, and have saved the lives of raptors and other bird and animal species that would have been targeted for senseless killings.
