We are a group of healthcare workers appealing on the recent advisory that was released by Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) regarding the criteria on overseas deployment that requires the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) on or before March 8, 2020 to be allowed to deploy abroad . Please be informed that most of us already possessed perfected contracts completed before March 8, 2020 as ordered by the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF).However, due to the existing lock down most of us were not able to acquire the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) from POEA.Thus, preventing us from leaving the country.

The new guideline from the POEA in which the basis of deployment ban is the OEC issuance date, does not coincide with the IATF resolution wherein only requires perfected contracts completed on or before March 8, 2020. As you know, nurses have been exploited for years.This is our chance to to be recognized and be well compensated abroad. We have spent our time,effort and financial resources just to reach this point.

This what we want:

1. Kindly, assist us in changing this memorandum back to the original recommendation by the IATF. Allow us, those with perfected contracts (as of March 8 2020) to go abroad regardless of OEC issuance date. 

2. Please let us leave and work to other country we desire to help our FAMILY.

Lastly, We know there is a lack of nurses here in Philippines. Hire those unemployed nurses and let us with employers in abroad go!
