With little public comment (it was only a week long and less than one hundred people responded)  the Pocatello/Chubbuck School Board has approved a plan to remodel the exterior of Pocatello High School that is not in keeping with/ or complimentary to the tradition and historical nature of the building, destroys the architectural beauty, and will permanently scar the exterior.

We are asking that the Pocatello/Chubbuck School Board, the Pocatello Planning and Zoning Commission and the Pocatello Historical Preservation Commission review this decision in light of the overwhelming negative response elicited as the citizens of Pocatello and former students become aware of this plan, that you incorporate a process for public comment at the conceptual and final design stages keeping the public informed throughout the process in a transparent way, and that you request and build an addition more in keeping with the existing architecture.
