General Bipin Rawat has been the first Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed forces. He has had an exemplary career since his commissioning into the Indian army as a soldier of the Ladakh Scouts. 

His contributions towards the modernization, motivation and passive aggressive stance of the Indian armed forces are achievements that cannot be described in a few words. 

An amazing orator, a person with immacute knowledge in matters of strategic interests, a believer and a person who has dedicated his life to serving his motherland to the best of his abilities, today had to face a painful and gruesome death along with his fellow soldiers when his helicopter crashed, exploding and burning him his wife and 11 other patriots in arms. 

A man with his distinguished career, who died in his uniform while dispensing his active services to the nation should be remembered and immortalized with a Field Marshall rank.
