52 year old doctor brutally and mercilessly assaulted, almost lost vision. The patient was his neighbour whom he took to hospital in his own car.
When the patient became serious, this is what they did to him - abducted him, threatned his wife to hand over cheque book, made him sign cheques worth 50 lakhs, beat him and threw him on the road.
He got his award for helping the patient.
2 days back a retired doctor in Assam had got his award for treating the patients even after retirement.

Few facts of the incident below (copied)
1. Patient was neighbour of doctors.
2. Patient was 52 yrs old obese person and was operated by screws for the fracture of medial Condyle tibia a relatively minor surgery for us.
3. When patient developed breathlessness after surgery two of the so called ICU were contacted but was refused on different excuses, may be dominating local crowd and caste of patient was a factor.
4. Patient was taken to Sadar hospital by Doctor Manish in his car.
5. Local Leaders started leading the crowd after reaching the Sadar hospital.
6. Dr Manish of Jeevak hospital was pushed in car and was taken to unknown destination and was was beaten blue as you can see his photos and clips.
6. Meanwhile Doctors wife was contacted at home in night and Checque book was taken threateningly mentioning dire consequences.
7. Checque was taken to Dr in night. Many blank pages were signed.Money was filled to the tune of 50 lacs.
8. He was thrown out of car at Sinha Nursing home Basuadih bear JASIDIH at 03 am. He was helped by a passerby whose phone he used to talk to his wife who went there in car.
9. Doctor Manish went to JASIDIH CHC for primary treatment then to JASIDIH Police station from where he was referred to deoghar PS.
10. IMA meeting was called. There was spontaneous sizeable crowd of doctors specially the younger lot which I admire as a very positive sign for IMA future too. SP was contacted who assu red quick action. And a shutdown was proposed and passed till the culprit is brought to book from today.

12 The only fortunate thing is that he did not have any fracture or loss of eyesight.
