Providing safe working environment to doctors to treat patients is the responsibility of the government. People who are responsible for the security of doctors must be made accountable and whenever an incident of assault occurs, negligence on part of the law enforcing authorities should be highlighted and accountability fixed. 

This is the way forward and time has come for every member of medical community to unite and stand firmly for a safe working environment. Came across the slogan in the ongoing protests against assault of doctors at North Bengal Medical College.
