Action against Dr. O. P. Chaudhary AND his removal from the post of Chairman Animal Welfar

The Issue

Respected  Prime  Minister of India  Shri  Narendra  Modi,

We here by appeal you to remove Dr. O.P. Chaudhary Joint Secretary, Ministry of Animal Husbandry from his present assignments and from the post of Chairman of Animal Welfare Board of India. His extrajudicial letter Dated 30.3.2020 No Do/Q/11-1/2020-NLM/DADF, when health sector of the country is passing under extreme fragile situation is misuse of his present posts. His correspondences during last couple of weeks also establish his proximity in intimacy with poultry and meat industry which doesn’t justify his posts. He tried hard to impress his counter parts to literally work to rescue poultry industry by making all efforts of propagation. At present when all over the world, at various level research are going on to by top level scientists from various faculties to ascertain the sources of Corona Virus and nothing could be concluded so far, Dr. O.P. Chaudhary, Indian Forest Service officer by degree declaring the susceptible esculent as safe! Even Mr. Elizabeth Maruma Mrema, the acting executive secretary of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, reiterates countries should move to prevent future pandemics by banning “wet markets” that sell live and dead animals for human consumption, and Dr. Chaudhary is ensuring egg and chicken's the safety without any backing of nutritional science. Even without considering severe Bird flue disesses spreaded in poultries in four states of India.

Dr. O.P. Chaudhry must be removed from the post of chairman Animal Welfare Board of India as his proximity with meat and poultry industry is high. As a Joint Secretary, Ministry of Animal Husbandry keeps on hosting, meeting and attending seminars organized by poultry and meat sectors. This conduct will not allow him to diligently perform his duty to protect the interest of fifty Crores domestic Animals of India (population of birds are not considered here in this figure). AWBI's carrying sole responsibility to protect rights of Animals and welfare of animals. Meat and Poultry industry in India takes least care of Animal’s welfare laws and animals’ rights.  AWBI should have the Chairman and Board members who are free from any influence of those industries and those only committed to animals rights and welfare with adequate knowledge. Fact of the matter is, in india for meat and poultries industries, animal is mere raw material and source of income. They don't treat chicks and animals as livingbeing.
Hence the demands under this petition are:

1. Immediately withdrawal of Dr. Chaudhary’s letter with clear corrigendum from his minister.

2. Immediate departmental action against Dr. Chaudhary for his savagery.

3. Removal of Dr. Chaudhary from his present post of Chairman of AWBI as there are high chances of Animals being victim of conflict of interest.
