We urge you, honourable Narendra Modi who as the 15th prime minister of India have guaranteed the people of india that you will fight for a corruption free country to take action immediately in the case regarding Narges K Ashtari.
We, the worldwide supporters of her social work through Prishan Foundation urge you to take action on the corruption taking place in Rayagada district of Odisha. For the past 5 years, Narges has dedicated her life in serving orphan and abandoned children around the world. In those 5 years, 3 of those years have been in India.
With much difficulty an employment visa was granted to Narges through an NGO called ASSIST. This NGO had full authority over Narges' work and for 3 years benefitted, both financially and reputably from her stay in India. Since 2011, Narges has built an orphanage home for girls in Rayagada, a home for blind children in Mukundapur and through various projects has helped hundreds of thousand of children and families lead a better life.
She is now 26 years old, a mother to many orphan children and is currently facing tremendous difficulties in Rayagada, Odisha. It has been revealed that the first home Narges built has been taken away from her by the NGO (ASSIST) who gave her a visa. This NGO has also, through deceit and providing Narges fraudulent documents, taken away the second home she has built. The founder and secretary of ASSIST registered Narges' Foundation under his own name, manipulating Narges into believing she could not register a foundation as she was a foreigner.
Narges has been abused by members of this NGO for more than 2 years, remaining quiet in fear that she will lose her visa and right to stay in India.
We, her supporters, have followed her journey from the very beginning and URGE THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA to provide Narges with security and to help her fight for what is rightfully hers that has been illegally taken away from her. Since she has made this public, this NGO, ASSIST, has told Narges they will not support her stay in India and are trying to cancel her visa in order to keep her quiet. They refuse to admit they have stolen property and through their own connections in Rayagada district have made it increasingly difficult for Narges to get legal help.
Narges is Iranian by birth and British by nationalisation. She has made India her home and has relied only on ASSIST since she has been in India. We will not tolerate such injustice and we will not remain quiet until justice has been served for her!
