Today was the deadline for PM Justin Trudeau, and his Minister of Veterans Affairs Lawrence MacAuley to provide an official response in writing to my Privacy Requests. The lawful requirement set out in the federal Privacy Act is 30 calendar days. Another formal written grievance to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada will not be filed against the regime. As filing such written grievances with any officers of the federal, or for that matter the provincial government, are simply too dangerous. Government will launch reprisals in my experience. In my opinion, laws that aren't being enforced aren't worth the paper they're written on. Shame on those involved, and on those who protect them for a living.
