For many years Black, Latino/a, Native Americanand South Asian fans have experienced blatant culture appropriation, discrimination and racism  from almost every Kpop group in the industry. This isn’t an issue that was taking place in the past where “Ignorance” could be used as an “Excuse”. It is 2020, Korea has access to some of the fastest internet in the world where they can simply educate themselves. 
These issues range from groups imitating the mannerisms of Black people seeing it as being comedic, Wearing Cornrows ( Which Black people are still fighting for Justice to even wear in most workplaces), idols mocking Native Americans & using their traditional wear as a costume, Bindis, Black face, singing the N-Word and So much more.

Just like any company there NEEDS to be a team that handles these sort of issues Before hand and educate their artists on how these are seen as offensive. Instead fans are constantly being hurt by some of their favorite artists because to them their culture is nothing but a joke. Fans invest thousands of dollars & numerous hours of their days just to support artists that don’t support them enough to educate themselves on things that hurt them.

I call for EVERY Korean Entertainment company to require A diversity education/inclusion team. Where it is required to take classes & LEARN about their fan’s cultures. This team must be made up of people that are from various Backgrounds so they can speak on their culture first hand!
