I know it can sometimes feel really hard to ask someone to do something individually, especially if you fear they might not agree with you completely. But if I've learned anything over the past couple of years, it's that if you want someone to take an action, one of the most powerful things you can do is to ask them directly to do it. 

With that in mind, will you share this petition with just one friend you know is a fan of Taylor Swift's?

The genocide in Gaza has reached a terrifying new stage with the invasion of Gaza City, and we owe it to the people who are trapped there to do absolutely everything we can. So please — go out on a limb. Take a risk. Send that risky text where you ask your friend to join you in a small material act of support.

And while you're at it, please call your rep about Block the Bombs.
