📢 PETITION UPDATE – BURTON NEEDS A PUMP TRACK! 🚲

Following me contacting Councillor Jacob Collier, I’m really pleased to say that his team have responded with their full support for the idea and have contacted the council to find out their current stance. 🙌

 

This is a really positive step forward, but now I need your help to show just how much this facility is needed in Burton-on-Trent.

🚲 WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

 

1️⃣ Gather evidence of demand

I want to hear from local families, young people, BMX riders, scooter riders, skateboarders and anyone who would use the facility. Tell me what you currently do, where you travel to ride, or how a local facility would benefit you.

 

2️⃣ Grow the petition

The more local support we can demonstrate, the stronger the evidence of community demand. Please sign and share with friends, family, schools, clubs and local groups.

 

3️⃣ Hear the council’s stance

Councillor Jacob Collier’s team have now contacted the council, so we’re waiting to hear their response and understand their position.

 

4️⃣ Build the case

Once we have gathered enough evidence, I’ll use it alongside the petition to demonstrate the need for a dedicated, safe and accessible facility in Burton.

 

This started with just one parent asking, “Why doesn’t Burton have somewhere like this?” ❤️

 

Now we have councillor support, the council has been contacted, and we have an opportunity to show that the demand really is there.
