Only seven days to go before the deadline but our message is getting through

Hello everyone,

We cant thank you enough for your support. Our islands have small communities and to have people from all over the world supporting our campaign means a huge amount to us. Our campaign is building fast - our petition is nearly 5,500 signatures!

Recently we have been using the creative arts to get our message through. We sent a copy of the film "local hero" to the CEO of the Spanish global energy leader Iberdola, who owns Machair Wind and we took a stall at our local Agricultural Show using as a backdrop a beautiful large oil painting, expressing a lament to the loss of our horizon due to the wind farm by Tobermory artist David Page.

We are also very pleased that Fr Seraphim-Oran, the founder and spiritual father of Mull Monastery has published a powerful video expressing his distress of the proposed MachairWind development. Visit our website blog and further information pages and social media to read about these stories and others.

Meanwhile we are delighted at the number of important organisations that have scrutinised the Iberdrola  Environmental Information Application which they submitted for the MachairWind licence and have objected to the development.  We now have 4,655 objectiions on the Object. Now page

But we need you all to help us in our battle to prevent the wind farm development that will devastate our islands.  If you havent already done so, please object on https://object.now/machair/ which is very easy and the best way to influence the decision of the Scottish Government. And please share our stories and the Object Now link with your friends and family, and help save our Hebridean island environment for us and our many thousands of visitors each year.

THANK YOU
