The mental stability of an individual is IMPORTANT for emotional and physical healing!

PLEASE help behavior/mental health counselors provide service to reduce increase diagnoses of ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, etc. A license in trained psychology fields allows an individual to provide the best service to all populations.

Master's degree mental/behavioral health counselor and therapist are required to complete a mandatory amount of experience hours and supervision post-graduation to qualify for a license in the selected mental or behavioral health fields then pass an exam of over 100 questions. The problem with filling the license requirements has been most job positions for non-licensed counselors and therapist are contracted or fee-for-service that have no employed licensed supervisor for supervision and unpredictable client canceling and turn over which is a challenge to acquiring experience.

Example. A fee-for-service therapist or counselor is required to complete 3000 hours of client face-to-face service and 300 hours of licensed supervisor supervision to apply to take a state license exam. The counselor has to provide 30 hours a week to receive 1 hour of license supervisor supervision. The fee-for-service and contract positions may not receive 30 hours of service per week due to cancelations and high turnover.

Without a license, a counselor or therapist is not allowed to provide service online through video service. It would be appropriate to use practicum and internship experience and supervision as a requirement ONLY for counselors and therapist to apply for license exam to provide services.

Every individual that choses to earn a master's degree to work in the behavioral/mental health Human Service field should have the opportunity to receive a license in his/her field of study upon graduation!
