James Matheson and Lorna Stanger are coming together with like minded others to create something special for Thurso Beach for the community and tourists. Gill Avery was up on holiday from all down south of England coming every year for 40 years - the first time since her husband passed away. When James and Lorna started talking to Gill it really highlighted a massive issue in Thurso where people in wheelchairs or anything similar cannot get onto the beach. This also created the impression that the community aren’t being listened to and they are wanting to change that too. Gill was stuck on the path watching her family have fun on the beach, this didn’t sit well with Lorna and James. They are not only wanting to create something special but also talking about brightening the place up with amazing artwork with community support.
