Mining will have great negative impact in our lives.  Just imagine our watersheds gone, mountains flattened, unclean and unsafe rivers and streams.  These are the treasures of Cervantes Ilocos Sur. Most of all, after the mining companies ravage our natural resources, they will leave us - devastated.

Please remember what ever these mining companies promised you, it's just temporary, it won't even last enough for your grandchild to see, while if we preserve our natural resources, it's value, beauty and benefits that we will get, it will last generations to generations. Please do not deprive our children and grandchildren of the beauty of Cervantes. 

Africa is an example.  They have big mines there, not only gold but also diamond yet their people suffer a lot.  They are not rich.  They have the highest poverty rate.  Let us learn our lesson from them.
