Thank you for signing the petition to have Tim Walz recalled as Minnesota's governor. Once a week, I will send out an update to keep you informed on this matter.
A lot of Minnesotans are upset with the governor's leadership and decisions over the last six years. This year alone, many contriversial bills have been signed which will have an incredible inpact on Minnesota's questionalble future. We all have similar and differenet reasons to feel misrepresented and angry at Walz, but the bottom line we can all agree upon is: Walz sucks and we all know someone who feels the same way. That is why you should share this petition on your social media and emails. It would help me out a lot because I'm only on Twitter (@natedouglas1974). I'm not on Facebook/Meta because Mark Zuckerberg sucks as well but I digress.

In the last update, I explained how a petition to recall works in the State of Minnesota. The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State handles all recall petitions for elected officials. The law also states that a recall (in the case here, for Walz) requires 25% of his elected votes in 2020.
Let's do some math:
- Walz elected votes in 2020 (link): 1,312,349
- 25% of 1,312,349 = 328,087 signatures needed for this petition
- Every petion signer to date would need to get 588 more signers to make the minimum requirement. 558 x 588 = 328,104

Dear Minnesota Residents, As you know, Governor Walz has taken a number of extreme and unconstitutional measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His actions have put a strain on many businesses, families, and individuals, and have cost our state jobs, income, and other resources.
We are calling on all Minnesota residents to join us in signing a petition to recall Governor Walz. We need to send a strong message to our elected officials that actions like this will not be tolerated. By signing this petition, you are sending a message that you are not happy with Governor Walz and believe his actions are unacceptable.
We understand that many of you may be worried about the consequences of a recall, but we believe that the people of Minnesota should have a say in who is leading our state. We believe that the citizens of Minnesota should have a voice in deciding who represents them and how their government is run.
